I'm from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. I moved to the US in 2016 for a Veterinary Internship at the University of Minnesota and I have been working as the Humane Society's Director since June of 2019. I`m very passionate about this job, animals have always been a big part of my life. My husband and I have 2 dogs (Riggs, Foxy) and 3 cats (Elsa, Penny, Frozen) all adopted from Glacial Lakes Humane Society. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, being outdoors and spending time with my family, friends and pets.
I grew up in Watertown, SD. I am a full-time employee here at the humane society. I have enjoyed being around animals of all shapes and sizes, I worked as a part-time zoo keeper for about 5 years at Bramble Park Zoo and as a farm hand raising Holstein calf up for beef for 3 years. I attended Lake Area Tech and graduated with a Ranch Management degree and Environmental degree. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my friends and family at my parent’s lake cabin. I have four rescue cats (Ellie, Callie, Cooper, and Walter) 2 which I adopted from glacial lake humane society.
